The purpose of this event is to celebrate Black American culture and community in the essence of Southern hospitality, hence the Boots on the Ground theme (a popular Southern line-dance song). This event creates space for incoming students to connect, learn about SoulAAn’s mission, and engage with peers through music, food, and classic Black social traditions.
